Before that, he managed two Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs) that were structured under Julius Baer (Switzerland). The AMCs successfully outperformed their benchmarks during his tenure. William Tohmé, CFA, is Managing Director for Middle East and Africa at MFS Investment
Management and is based in the new MFS office in Dubai. William brings a wealth of experience in building a presence in new markets, deep local knowledge, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
Prior to joining MFS, William was Senior Regional Head for MENA and EMEA at CFA Institute.
In this role, William advocated for the highest standards of practice and ethics in the investment management industry through the promotion of financial market integrity and transparency among regional policy makers and regulators. He partnered with local stakeholders to assist with the expansion of their research, networks, contributing to the further professionalisation of the investment management industry.
From 2012 till 2018 William was Director of Institutional Business Development at Lazard AM, where he developed the sovereign institutional client business in the Middle East, covering the MENA region.
Prior to this role, he was Director, Middle Eastern Institutions at Alliance Bernstein Middle East and Alliance Bernstein France.
William started his career in 2000 as “Expert Financier” at AXA Investment Management,
Paris.
William graduated with a Masters of Advanced Studies (D.E.A.) in Finance, Monetary Sciences and Banking from the Université Paris II in 2001 (Honours) and earned his CFA charter in 2009. William is fluent in English and a native speaker of French and Arabic.

Fadi Sabbah, CFA, is An Emirati Finance professional with more than 15 years of experience.
Fadi currently leads the Finance function of Al Futtaim’s Real Estate arm in the UAE, which includes sub-sectors in Shopping Centers, Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, and Development Infrastructure.
Before joining Al Futtaim, Fadi worked in DP World's Head Office as a Treasury Manager for 2 years, and with EY as an Assistant Manager for 8 years.
Fadi is a CFA Charterholder and a CPA from the American Institute and has graduated from the American University of Sharjah majoring in Accounting and Finance.
